Blissful Suprises

Hello:)

This has been a pretty typical week in TY. The usual things have been going on like mini company disputes, writing  an English play an working on our opera in Music. We have a dress up day on Friday because its Halloween and its midterm next week. The theme for Ty's is The Adams Family and this will be a challenge . I cant wait for midterm it will be a nice break.

Today we have a history talk on the history of Celbridge. I love listening and learning about history especially about the area where I live. I didn't know this talk was happening until right now and I'm so excited it is!!

A Standing Ovation

Hello

Yesterday all of TV went into town to see "Juno and the Paycock" in the Abbey Theater. It was a fantastic production and it helped me understand the play more. My favourite part of the production was the set and the music. It was like we had actually entered a tenement house in 19th century Dublin I really enjoyed it. In the morning before the play we visit National Library and the National Museum. In the National Museum we saw the bog bodies. They were bodies that bogs world wide had preserved. We could see their faces and everything. My favourite part of the morning was visiting the W.B Yeats exhibition. We got to learn about his life and to read bits and pieces of his poetry.

We then had lunch on Grafton Street. It was a great day and I would go see it again.

Builders knock down all competition

Last week we had anti-bullying week. There was a fun walk at the end of the week and our class dressed up as builders. We did a dance to the Bob the Builder theme song and we found out on Monday that we WON.

It was a great day and everyone had alot of fun. I really enjoyed it. After all the dances were over the walk began. Ty's were to stay at the cross roads and junctions. I was at Old Town Mill with a few of my friends . The colour for TY was yellow . First years were pink, second years were purple, third years were green, fifth years were blue and sixth years were black and white. 

It was a great week and our prize was a box of roses.

Next week is going to be completely normal. I have to:
1. Work on my geography project
2.  Do an assignment for creative writing
3. Go to a mini company workshop on Wednesday
4. Finish our opera in music
5. On Friday there is the FUN WALK:)

This week is anti-bullying week and the fun walk is on Friday. Anti bullying week is all about making sure that everyone feels safe and secure in school. That no one feel left out or is frightened about coming to school. Every student has the right to feel safe and talk to people when they dont feel safe. The anti bullying week finishs off with the fun walk. This is a walk we have every year and the money we raise is going to Pieta House.
